WELL BRING IT ON...... I have had my MEA for just a year now and when i got her i hadn't ever swung a spanner in anger so to speak but i started by doing pretification stuff like new chrome then i got a bit mechanical when i refurbished the loading bay. After a while i got frustrated by the state of the engine bay so , with the help of my mentor polo 2k (ash) we took the engine out and refurbished the engine bay. I then replaced all the front brake shoes and cylinders ON MY OWN.... and then today i replaced the mastercylinder in about 2hrs from start to finish ON MY OWN (except for my wife who helped with the bleeding.)
I KNOW that the work i describe is simple stuff to many of you more experienced chaps ( and chappesses) but this evening i feel GREAT . I am looking forward to doing more stuff.
Thanks to Ash for his invaluable help and thanks to this forum for help and advice.
My fingers are still ingrianed with oil but i JUST DONT CARE
Good stuff mate - many reckon that as we all get older there are less and less people around who have the skill and inclination to work on their own cars, so great to see another tech added to the team!
Carpets eh? I did this recently, see my "Bought a new Moggie today" thread in "General" for lots of pictures on how I did it, if you're interested.
Let us know how you get on would you?
Cheers
Some people are like slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you throw them downstairs.

Yes, it was really. Read the instructions carefully, and don't put too much on, and keep it warm and dust-free while it dries - which takes ages, but is worth it!
Cheers
