Maybe the hammer idea isn't such a bad idea after all then

Ha, Chief cursed at me when I used WD40 to get his window winding mechanisms working again (admittedly SMILE has only just stopped smelling of WD40) but now he realises it's true worth.
(Can also be used for cleaning grease & gunk off your hands!)

we got if off at last, but will the rain be kept out
The clip actually stayed on the wiper so no having to search for clips that had sprung off
