hi folks, i am looking quite keenly at a steering wheel, but i am curious as to what will fit mine as its got a different shaft on it i think to a later minor. is there some sort of adapter you can buy or anything?

Mountney wheels come up on e-bay from time to time, I was lucky to find one with the adapter included. Adaptor is the same as a classic mini (not the BMW POS)

Can you put a later shaft on?
If so mini bosses etc will fit perfectly

1000 column is same as Jags upto 1993 and Landrover from 1960 to 1998 but different from Triumph who used a bigger spline....

Callum, Yours has just a keyway rather than splines so you will be unable to find any other wheel that is a direct fit i'm afraid.
If you fit the later column then the options are massive!
