Ok I've fitted the australian kit as supplied over the past week.
On the whole I would say it was an easy 'nuts and bolt' job for any decent hands on person, except for a couple of points.
Firstly you have to drill the chassis for one of the cylinder outlet lines, and to do that you have to drop the gearbox cross member, easy enough but not everybody is up to that, mine with a combination of soggy mounts and strong arms just needed freeing completely on one side only and pulled down enough to get a stepper drill in an angle chuck into drill the hole..
Secondly you have to get two 'mongrel' brake pipes made up both with metric one end and the usual weird mix of minor other ends, different front and back remember, again not a problem for me as I have access to a flairing tool but could be tricky for others.
Then of course theres the usual problem of getting two feed pipes from the inner wing into the chassis leg without fouling, touching or being crimped anywhere.
However for my peace of mind it has been worth it, and a test on my favourite vehicle proving laboratory test track, (AKA the rugby club car park) gave me four good stripes and a nice straight pull up, I would say I can feel a bit more feedback through the pedal as I can feel the shoes rubbing the drums something I dont think I could before but as I hadnt used the van for a month before it was probably skimming the rust off the drums.
I'll see you on the otherside'!
