Hello. The OH and I are trying to sort out and buy Rod's redmog if we can work out finances. We have got a couple of quotes (around £300 for fully comp (max miles of 12,000)). Any suggestions on good car insurance companies for Morris Minors?
We will also have to become members of MMOC, we have been asked if we are members of any motoring clubs by the insurance companies, would this be something worth mentioning?
Thanks

Glad its going to a good home
the norms are:
AON
Footman James
Adrian Flux
Lancaster
My experience dictates Herts Insurance (
www.hic.co.uk ) hope that helps!

yes, join the club and tell the insurance company, it will normally give a discount or a perk
AON and Footman james are now the same company

For future reference if anyone reads this thread in future... dont bother ringing RH if you are under 25, they wont insure you full stop.

Neither of us are quite yet 25, so we'll ignore RH (quite useful as I'm not exactly sure who RH are, hehe!)

For future reference. Apparently RH will consider under 25's if certain conditions are met.

Do you know what conditions they are? (roughly)
HIC were very helpful, they came back with a more expensive quote than Lancaster's 307 but with better terms. The guy asked me to hold on and managed to bring it down to 299.
(and thanks for the suggestions
)

I think the best thing you can do is give them a call.
