Bottom hose

Post by 10852sm »

Hi,

I am buying parts online (UK suppliers) for delivery to the UK while I am in China working, so they are ready for when I return, hence I am reluctant to spent ££ssss on the phone to suppliers to answer my question.

I want to buy a bottom radiator hose for my 1958 948cc car with heater, I have seen listed a hose with heater take off but it says for cars after 1962, is this the year that heaters where standard, is this the hose that I need is there another difference?

Thanks

AFAIK the heater connection is the only difference between the two types.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Thanks Alex,

Just to be clear, the difference is some come with one and some come without, is this correct?

Thanks

They're also a different construction but I don't think that matters. The radiator and water pump connections are the same size and in the same place. On ESM's site they don't mention a year, they just sell the two types as "early OHV plain type" and "late OHV with heater takeoff."
