Alloy wheel centre caps.

Post by IaininTenbury »

Hi,
I've got a friend's car in at the mo, for some work and need to replace the centre caps on the alloy wheels. It's got 14" minilite style wheels which have PERFORMANCE cast into the rim - presumably the make. The plastic chromed centre caps are a push fit into the wheels and clip in place. Well they did, ones got broken off and another has broken clips and is only very tenuously in place and the chrome is a bit tarnished on the others so it really needs a new set. I'd guess the wheels are only about 5-6 years old so hopefully these should be still available.
Anyone any idea where from or who to contact. Tried a couple of the larger Minor specialists and got the predictable "we only sell the complete wheels" type response...
cheers

Well, this place - https://www.plminishop.com/view_product ... CAP&page=3 - does them, though they say they're out of stock atm. Various people also sell them for Locosts etc, but I ended up using ones from a set of Ford don't-know-what wheels I happened to have

Thanks. I'll try them and some other alloy wheel suppliers. Might be a case of going in with one in my hand to match it up by the looks of it. A lot of faffing for a small cosmetic item, but needs must....
cheers
