Morris Minor parts ???

Post by titch »

Hi,

Being very new to all of this I have not had a chance to make those valuable contacts. My MMOC membership arrived a few days ago so I will next be seeking my nearest group.

However, I need to replace my springs on my traveller "Lily" and have been looking for any shops that get Minor parts in the Barking, Ilford and Romford area, or within a drivable distance. Does anyone know of one ?????

Thanks.

Hi Titch,

I live close to Ilford and don't know of any Minor parts suppliers within the East London / Essex area. There used to be a few within driveable distance but these have long since gone out of business :(

I usually get my parts by mail order. ESM are good, as well as Bull Motif:

Getting rear springs via post might be a bit expensive though :-?

The East London branch would have been nearest to you but died a death about 13 years ago! The current nearest branches to you are the North London and Middlesex Branch who usually meet in Enfield or the Essex branch who usually meet in the Chelmsford area. Unfortunately neither are particularly close so I use this site as my 'virtual' branch. Loads of good advice & friendly people

ESM do free postage on orders over £60 I think, which seems a good deal. I bought a set of van ones recently from them.
Just a matter of comparing prices taking into account vat and postal charges.
cheers

I dont know how far you would like to drive but King Street Garage in West Malling stock quite a few spares (I dont know what they stock so its probably best to give them a call) http://uk.local.yahoo.com/Kent/Addingto ... 10409.html
