car stereo

having recently acquired a 1968 traveller i want to have a stereo and speakers fitted without compromising the original interior- can u advise me on how to do this please. :o

A stereo in the passenger glove box is the most discrete, and 2 small'ish speakers hidden each side of the front parcel shelf, or if may be possible to bolt them up under the dash

Here's where I put mine:

I mounted it using 50mm L plates from hardware shops secured with M4 nuts and bolts which thread straight into the casing of most radios

Mine's in basically the same place as Peetee's except I made a bracket from sheet metal.

i believe its called the gearbox cover :lol:

Man that last icture is brilliant. Wish I'd thought of that arrangement when I was fitting the bulkhead soundproofing :roll:
