Hedge find.....1960 2 door in clarendon grey, who wants it?
Amazing what can happen somtimes, ive been offered the chance to acquire another mog which has been residing in a hedge half a mile from where i live.....i never knew it existed! I have no idea what state its in, but the odds are ill either get it for nought or very little. I have no room myself to keep it, but may want a few parts off it.....its a complete car. Would anyone else be interested in it if i were to recover it from the hedge?

I did! Thanks for trusting me to drive it.......what a shock! Oh and thanks for a great cuppa as well!
Im hoping to have a peak at it tommorrow, ill see what it can yield.
Nick, no idea as yet. I think the plan is to get it to my place then give a good going over and then if theres bits i think i cud do with....ill 'ave 'em. May not be that much, just a few bits and bobs. As i say its a complete car.
cheers,

Right then, i ventured down into the field and found it amongst the sherpa vans and old Landy Discoverys! First impressions well i think it could be a lot worse! Its an earlier 2door originally in clarendon grey, from the reg i think its probably 1960, so it will be a 948
.
Rust, well there is some, door bottoms and sills and around the rear wings, it was last on the road in 1999, so im guessing it hasnt eaten in too much?!

Got to be worth saving just for the number plate alone? (EPE 403).
any interest from anyone?

The folding passenger seat and stainless doortops are worth having.
From the pics there's no way to tell condition but I'd hazard a guess it is pretty far gone (although not as rotten as the Raymobile)

they were only available on the Traveller and 4 door (although the 4 door ones are a different size). Therefore it's a popular 'upgrade' on a saloon to add some more shiny & the steel quarterlights can rot away and the stainless ones don't.Were the stainless door tops an option then
