not knowing about computers...
if a computer has a drive (C) and also a back up drive (Z), but (C) drive is only 4GB and backup is 26GB, can you change the percentages around?? because i just got the computer back from my brother in-law, and it now has this little set up on it, and i cant work out how i do anything! because the initial 4GB is used up already with systemy stuff! help me!!!

That depends whether the C and Z are seperate physical hard drives or partitions of the same drive. If partitions, its possible to change the amount in each drive, i.e. take a few GB from Z and put it in C. However, there is a risk losing data doing this. I would leave it as it is, install new software on C and store your files on Z.
Just save everything to Z. If you need to allocate more to C then you will need software such as "partition Magic", but make sure you back up all your files you dont want to lose in case it all goes wrong.

Use a partition manager such as "Partition Magic" to move storage over to C. Its hard drive storage, btw not memory.
