Stupid Question - Indicator lens removal?

I need to replace the front sidelight bulbs on the Minor, and can't work out how to get the lens off! It's the later type, and my handy ancient BoL doesn't bother to mention them at all...

Just push the lens in slightly and twist, the lens will then come off.

Careful not to twist it too far or it will smash the bulb and bend the reflector (been there, done that).

New rubber holders don't cost much - it's not worth the risk of the glasses and rims falling out on a bumpy road!

I remember being forced off the road in a Mini late at night by a halfwit. After realising I'd bent the front panel and a wing one bright side was my shiny glass indicator had survived, although it had popped out and was in the road. Five seconds later a passing car ran it over...

Embarrassingly I spent a good few minutes the other day trying to prise the Minor front lens out the rubber before realising that's not how it's fitted, which is why I ended up asking here

If ever you have to replace the base unit the best nuts and bolts to use are the plastic number plate type as they dont rust in place.

Would need to add an earth wire though, as the lights are earthed through the base unit screws. Still a great tip though.
