Quiet gloat?

Post by wiglaf »

So, I spent my Easter Weekend camped in a field at Walesby for a re-enactment training weekend. Come Monday morning and time to think about leaving, the stone mason's big modern van parked in front of me takes a lot of work and several attempts with jump leads from a four by four to get started... and it certainly wasn't the only modern vehicle to have trouble.
I popped the blanket out from under the bonnet and Sleipnir's 948 purred beautifully to life on the first try. After all the times I've been asked "is that a practical vehicle for travelling to events like this?", it was quite satisfying! So I thought I'd share my pleasure with you all.
