a funny one about my nikki...

now i have had my nikki carb fitted to my minor for a few months now, and always thought it was alright, not outstanding, but usable. ever since fitting the 1275, i've thought it was obviously quicker than the 1098, but it did seem slower then my dads. so...last week i got him to help me with the carb. tinkering we were, when i got him to put his foot to the floor(engine off!) only to notice that the second choke mechanism wasnt being activated! quite funny! so...we realised the PEDAL WAS BENT! all this time! so we bent the pedal back...which now opens second choke...so it now is silly quick(within moderation!) quite nice to see such a massive change in power release, as i just hadnt been overawed by the 1275 up to then.
other then that, can has been running pretty nicely! gearbox is still holding together after my mod, engine is sweet, exhaust is noisey, handling is great, so yeah, moggy ownership has been a genuine joy for the last week!

you know what...i think you will! i was driving on the motorway yesterday, and just thought how comfortable it is now! quite strange really! i was saying to my dad the other day that my car has undergone a pretty massive change since you lot saw it. it was pretty much stock back then...

have you had a look at those parts yet? do you think you will be able to use them? i've still not collected that stick yet though!!!

Yes mate, the parts are spot on thanks! They are awaiting a clean up and a lick of paint before being fitted to the '49. Will be using the later backplates and cylinders but using your arms and hubs i can keep the "proper" wheels. Thanks again!

haha! pete...what are you trying to say? no chance am i going to get my bum whipped by you modding pro's! so...i wont be doing any drag'esque driving! and also, i am afraid this week is a definite no, the week after a definite possibility...
