Buklhead mods - more on William and a generel rant.....

Post by Spag »

Well spent a bit of time in the garage chopping and welding William's bulkhead, so now I think all the serious work on the shell is done
:)

Admittedly, the plan was to crack on with William on Saturday and Sunday, but was a bit of a heavy night on Friday, so got up a bit late, then decided to give the lawn it's first mashing...

My £10 ebay special 17" Atco, had been tuned and tested in the garage and had clutch linkage rebuilt at Crimbo, but this was it's first real outing.
Found the drive roller was slipping to stripped clutch and refaced plates and disc, then gave blade a tickle, but after that managed to cut the grass in nice stripeys. Didn't leave much of Sat, so only had Sunday to play...

Admittedly, William will ultimately look superb (or at least adequate) sitting on a striped lawn with a couple of classic petrol cylinder mowers for that period image....
