My daughter is working at the BBC on Blue Peter for a few weeks.

Today they had a brain storm for new features. I told her to suggest the 60th anniversary of the Morris Minor. Last night we got Rosie H to stay up late and write some copy.

Now we are waiting with baited breath to see if they liked the idea.

Excellent. Perhaps if we can raise our profile, it will light a fire under the spares parts manufacturers to get their act together.

The Blue Peter presenter Diane Jordan used to own a dove grey Minor so the producers might warm to the idea.

Perhaps if we could find a car that is repaired with cardboard and some sticky backed plastic. You would think after featuring peeing elephants, a Minor would be welcome relief for the hosts.

Not yet but will soon the way its going - still I'll know where to come for advice on such matters

And as this is a Blue Peter thread - I'm always amazed they never got cleaned out by a law suit from anyone whose house burned down after the program encouraged 5 year olds to make xmas decco's out of a coupe of wire coat hangers, some flamable tinsel and a bunck of candles held on with tie wraps !
