I tested the "electronic" conversion here about 10 years ago when it first (?) appeared - here at least.
The pump clicked appreciably slower than normal, which wasn't a problem in "normal" use.
It eventually become a big problem in hot weather when the fuel started vapourising. The pump couldn't pump quick enough to supply the fuel bowl & resulted in starvation/stoppages. Reverting to the points rectified the problem as it could pump quicker.
I assume/hope things have improved over time but I've always liked the simplicity of the points system & have never been completely let down by it.
After all, isn't that one of the reasons why we love our Minors - simplicity. :D
