chassis

Post by topps35 »

Can anyone please tell us if the pick up, van and traveller chassis are all the same. Also is the traveller body removeable, we have been told they are. We have a very dead pick up chassis that needs replacing, will a traveller chasis do. Also thinking of putting a chopped traveller on the back as struggling to source the back end of a pick up. we have seen one or two of theese and they look great, any suggestions or tips please.
thanks

The van and pick-up chassis' are the same, but the traveller doesn't have a chassis, so the answer's 'no', I'm afraid,

The Traveller roof and wood sides can be removed - but the floor is part of the monocoque - and can't sensibly be removed!

Trav pick-ups are generally just Travs with the roof/rear windows removed and some strengthening added to keep some rigidity.
