Thanks to Dave my next door neighbour (who's a tree surgeon), who provided them - they were cut down around 2 years ago so are well seasoned, the rings indicate the tree was about 80 years old.
I'll post some pictures when I start work on it but have to finish the wardrobe for my younger daughter (the doors are in the background of the second pic), so it wont be soon - still my renovation plans always were going to be long term!.
Sorry a couple of the pics are a bit big - I cant remeber how to reduce them ...
