Hello Les,

interesting question, I'm guessing (wildly) as I haven't one to look at at the moment, of 3\4" UNF?
Why do you need to know? I know it has been mentioned before but Zeus tables are extremely useful as they list most common thread size data (Yes including BSW and BSF, B.A. and B.S.P.) Not expensive and also a set of thread gauges also cost very little.
Cheaper than buying the wrong tap or die in that sort of size?

Alex, thanks for the reply. I need to know as I am trying to restore the thread on a friends steering column ( the nut is tight on the thread, slightly damaged) The thread is exeptionally fine. I have Zeus tables and gauges but cannot identify.

Hello Les,

OK, perhaps the easiest solution is to get a thread file?

Both 3/4Whit & 1,5/16UNF sockets fit but I would have thought the thread would be BSF - 13/16?
