A Morris with a Swedish twist? (Lockable gas cap)

Post by Bluesman »

Guys - today, I discovered a funny thing on the 2-D 1960. The lockable gas cap - and lock itself - is made by LM Ericsson! Back in that day, they did phone switchboards and not much else. Today, they are Ericsson, the cellphone giant. This is so strange - is this a factory original, or a Swedish dealer retrofit? This is about the last place I´d expect a LME logo...

Its not a factory option as far as I know.

Especially considering the location of the car and the company concerned I'd suggest that its a retro-fit possibly from a similar era car with a similar fuel filler. That is just an educated guess however
