Indicator arm self-cancelling...

Post by Welung666 »

Can anyone take a pic of the self-cancelling mechanism on the later green light tipped indicator arm for me please. I had a spring bounce off my leg on the way home from the weekly shopping excursion and now it cancels before I turn left and I have to hold it down to turn right!! Thanks in advance :D

I tried, but it's tricky to find a way of taking one that's any use, since it's hidden away under the slip ring contact - I'll email one anyway

The spring I have from the carpet looks like the one between the 2 'paddles' but can I see 2 springs on your photo or is that my eyes?

Must be - I can only see one, both in the pic and in the flesh :)

Well all sorted :D After taking off the slip ring contact I looked and thought there was something odd... The paddles were round the wrong way! No wonder the spring came off, so carefully turned round and the spring straightened and re-fitted. The self cancel works perfectly now.
