When I refurbed our 65 MM heater with a new rad I resprayed the front panel and of course lost the heater words. Does anyone know how to reproduce these please? Thanks, John

I did mine with "Letraset". Make cure the paint is smooth and hard. Letraset is a sheet of letters, available in different fonts. Place each required letter as needed, then rub over with a pen or similar, and it transfers from the sheet to the heater. When complete a light clear varnish will help protect it.

of course do not use solid letters, as there were breaks in the letters for the template when these were sprayed

quite possibly stippled on, used the word spray very loosely
unless it was a gpo or post office van then they had a water slide transfer

I've just looked at six old units, and would say that they were ALL water slide transfers; and that's a selection of saloons and travellers. Now I wonder where we can get those re-manufactured? Doe4s anybody have any ideas?

By "the warning" I assume you mean on the top of the radiator at the front of the car? These were always stencilled / sprayed - it used to be possible to buy the stencil, not sure if anyone has any left these days. We've been talking about the heater unit though.

Hence my previous comments in various postings, and personal preference for 'original' cars
PS I worked at Cowley for a number of years

I do seem to remember stubby, wooden handled stiple brushes along with templates, but I could be wrong.
