Rear lamp base - plastic or metal?

I have managed to pick up a new old stock off side rear metal chrome lamp base. I want to replace the near side one too and am usure how the plastic on chrome base will look against the other side being metal.

The cost of the metal on chrome seems to be really expensive compared to the plastic on chrome - £93 compared to £38.

Any recommendations as to which company to purchase them from? Has anyone used the plastic on one side and metal on the other? How do they compare? Should I wait and save up for the real one???
