By valve hole i mean where the new tubeless valves are inserted in the rims. If there happens to be any serious rust there then the valves will not seal properly. (There is normally no problem). Tubeless radials are not designed for tubes, obviously, and have a roughish finish inside which would probably wear out tubes in time. The official advice was to raise the pressures by 2lbs sq. inch per tyre when changing from cross plies to radials. (The cross ply pressures were 22 front, 24 rear). Radials will make the steering slightly heavier hence the advice to start with 25
on the fronts.

It was very strange. Caught me in the middle of sanding down the rusty bits over the wheel arches. Just finished priming over the curerust when the sky turned yellow. Now its in the garage and waiting for a couple of coats of paint - when it stops raining.
