Rust Preventers

Hi all,
yesteraywhile talking to a friend of mine, he was telling me how his Mitsubishi L200 pick-up never rusts, though in Summer it is brought down in the sea in reverse to float of a rubber boat (dinghy?) off the back , he told me the pick-up has 2 boxes which send electrical shocks throughtthe body that stops rust coming out!!! anyone knows what exactly arethese? how good are they (though they seem to do an excellent job on this mistubishi!!) ? and anyone who supplies tem?? Thanks

Give it a few years more and the rust will come out unless your friend jet washes all the salt water out of the car soon after doing this. I can't see these boxes making any difference.
