Morris and Caravan?

Post by dunketh »

I was shocked to see a Minor convertible towing a caravan on Sunday.
I was overtaking an idiot in a Ford 'Fusion' and caught sight of this convertible on the other side of the dual carriageway.

I was going too fast to have a proper nosey, was just shocked to see it motoring pretty well up the inside lane towing what looked like a perfectly normal (and presumably heavy) caravan... not a small 'compact' one as you'd expect.

On another note, I brought back 6 large 18mm loft boards on my roof the same day. It bent the roofrack but the morris soldiered on regardless.

I always love to see Minors proving themselves just as capable as the more modern stuff. :D
What would Macgyver do..?

Was it dark green?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

No, sadly it wasnt 'Daddy Beardmore' - it was a pristine white one.

The pic with the saloon and dolly is cool. I love to see old cars worked hard.
I like seeing the lovingly polished restoration examples at shows and whatnot but theres nothing better than seeing a proper workhorse earning its keep.
