Which thermostat?

I've noticed there's 2. An 82 and an 88 degree.
Which is best for a car used in the summer months? I can't imagine that Moggy owners would bother to change stats for summer & winter months...or do they?

there are all sorts of thermostats about, from as low as 73 up to 92 I think

I would go for the lower one in summer

I have a 92 as well, but I think that is one of the reasons for my head gasket problems. I now use an 88 in winter and a 92 in summer.

Sorry that should be 82 in summer.
