CHANGING WIPER MOTOR POLARITY ?

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO USE A POS+ EARTH WIPER MOTOR ON MY NEG EARTH VAN OR WILL I HAVE TO SEARCH FOR A NEG EARTH MOTOR FROM SAY AN OLD MINI? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE WELCOME. STEVE.

Just use the standard motor - it works fine (well. mine does).

Could you please not Shout? :wink:

I believe you don't even need to swap the wires around.

When I changed from pos to neg, the wiper motor was not touched. It is fine.

The wiper motor works either way round - do NOT change the wires round. This could cause a dangerous short circuit. If the wipers do not park correctly you may need to adjust the parking position.

It will work fine - since both the field and the rotor are being reversed - it will still run the same direction as before.
