Beautiful - and in the best Mog colour as well. I know very little about the cars, being a pick-up bloke, but the wood looks a little scary. Good luck with it all :D

Hi Beth

Don't panic about the wood, there are several places who sell new wood ready to be fitted and varnished. :D

Hi and welcome aboard Beth
there are several places who sell new wood ready to be fitted and varnished.
Just remember that the complete kits are around £1,000 just to buy then there is fitting and any other repairs that are found to need doing, I am not trying to put you off but join the local branch and you should get lots of helpful advice on how to proceed :D
Cheers

Looks like you're just down the road from me so give me a shout if you need any advice etc. I've been running a traveller as my main car for a few years now but haven't had to replace any wood.

...and not wildly far from me either.

Advice (although not always good advice) / help if you need it :-)

Good luck with the car though, It looks like you've successfully chosen the best colour :-)

My Observations (limited, can't see the underside!)

- The wood looks like its likely to need complete replacement (although do try and save it - its worth saving those pennies!) Remember its structural!
- The floor under the drivers seat, lots of brown rust, clean up and see if its surface, if not a new floor section could be beckoning.
- Lead Free Sticker? So its fairly safe to assume its got an unleaded head, very good sign.

Looks like a good resto candidate if you can do something with the wood.

Looks like a great project. Lots of good times bonding with your Pops. Best of luck.
