interior trip - some advice is needed

Post by jamesmorrisminorfan »

The car has has a complete floor restoration, and now i need to fix up the insides...This is where I need your help.

1. the seat belts look like they came from a dodgy airline, so what one's can you recommend?

2. the dash board is the early style, but the parcel tray is missing, and the glove boxes need replaced

Now consider that's i've spend the most of the budget having the floor replaced, the brakes fixed, the suspension overhauled, and most of the rusty bits replaced... i need to get this done without having another meeting weith the bank manager

hi james

i can let you have a pair of good condition s/h gloveboxes if you like :) they are from a 1971 van though so you would need to check if they will fit your car

Securon seat belts are the most commonly fitted make of seat belt used and are available fron the specialists for around £25 each.

missing

You must be careful with the missing parcel shelf as the parts are particular to each model, the later ones are different including the metal
cross piece.

I have the large metal bar that goes across the lower parce shelf, but the actual shelf was made from cardboard (or it looks that way). I know I'll need to get a 'duct' for the heater... not sure if that works either, but i'll soon find out.

The good news is that I had to travel down to London for a job interview, and having got myself a new position, I can in time afford to get Margot (the minor) some cosmetic surgery.
