Hi,
How do I go about uploading a photo to illustrate a question ? What size should they be too.
Ian.

rather annoyingly you cant......
but you can link to an external site and include that in you message
best bet is to sign up for a photobucket account which is free, load the images there and you can then use the [ img ] [ /img ] tags in a message to include it
eg
[ img ] address in the web here [ /img ]
remove all the spaces in the above and insrt your image location and that should work, you can always test it with the preview button
size? well keep it fairly small and defiantly don't exceed average screen size thats really annoying! resize them to perhaps width of 200-400 depending on how much detail they contain?
hope that helps

I think it's good that we can't. Just think of the extra bandwidth and storage the server would need if everybody could load it with photos.Rob_Jennings wrote:rather annoyingly you cant......
Displaying photos by linking to them is perfectly fine, and if I want to read a thread without the pictures (I read it for the articles not the pictures

I already use flashblock to kill those horrible animated banners.

What I use sometimes which not a lot of other people do is to hide the link of a picture or web address by using the following code.
[ URL =WEB ADDRESS HERE ] DESCRIPTION OF YOUR LINK HERE! [ /URL ]
So Should come up some thin like this using the above description and a random web address!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR LINK HERE!
Not so random link! My 2 door saloon on Minor Mania!
Kinda cool linky thing to do IMO!

Same here. I've used <A HREF= or <IMG SRC= on here loads of times by mistake, then I get confused and start using [img and [url on my blog...

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
