To anyone that can help us!
A friend of mine and I have bought a 1962 morris minor. We are intending to enter this summers london to mongolia rally. All in all the journey is around 9000 miles. Could anyone helps us with advice in what spare parts to take with us and what problems we may encounter with the car. The roads are pretty horrendous and a large section is in dessert conditions. Any advice will be well recieved, also if any one has got any ideas in regards to raising sponsorship for this event that also will be appreciated. I can be contacted at peter_belchamber@hotmail.com.
Regards

The car will need to be in excellent mechanical condition - no rusty chassis legs !! Suspension also in top condition - dampers all nice and new - and all NEW bump stops in place. And I would RAISE the suspension to take account of poor roads - the front is easily adjustable - the rear can be lifted by using longer shackle plates - although a new pair of springs would be a really good idea anyway - and you could consider using the 7 leaf Traveller springs if the load in the rear of the car will be great.
