Fitting Fibreglass Front end

i have just acquired a full fibreglass front end for my 1098 (bargain off ebay)but there is no fitting or fixing info.
Has anyone got any experience or suggestions?
the guy i got it from bought it as a job lot so didnt have any info or details

Do a Google search and you should find at least one Moggie specialist that can help.

First strip off the parts you do not need ie wings bonnet and front grill.

At the front you will have to leave the front top crossmember in place. Now try fitting the `glass front. If it goes on and drops down too low you are on a winner...........chances are it will sit too high, so see where it is touching and rectify.

Eventually you will be happy with the fit. Now to fix it. You could just bolt on the hinges and hinge the whole lot up but the glass will probably crack around the hinge area. You could then use bonnet pins to hold the front.

I would prefer to support the front in several places with mounts in various places using Dzus 1/4 turn fasteners. You could retain the hinges and replace the pivot pins with quicj release pins (Pip pins).

There is no definite way, you just have to make it up as required.
