Brake pipe ends ?

Post by billm »

Where's the best ( cheapest ) place to buy the 3/8" BSF male brake pipe ends. I'm replacing all my brake lines with new copper and already have the pipe but inadvertantly got UNF ends instead.

Do motor factors still supply BSF ends ?
thanks

The brakes are 3/8" UNF - except the rear axle fittings which have a coarser thread - I 'think' it's 3/8 BSW - but I suppose it may be BSF - someone will know. Usually get them at autojumbles - not common these days. Most cars now are m10x 1 on the brake fittings. Copper is dangerous - it can stress harden and crack. Far better to use Kunifer which is copper based alloy, doesn't rot and doesn't work harden.
