Is the warning light on?

If not, and assuming the bulb is ok, then the chances are that the fault is with your gauge or sender, not actual oil pressure.

Oil pressure gauges seldom read zero, there's always a flicker...

Besides, it sounds like you've been driving a while with the gauge at zero. I think something would have got hot and siezed by now with no oil pressure at all.

No overheating? No funny smells? No nasty graunching noises? No silvery stuff floating on the oil on the dipstick when you pull it out, as of melted bearings?

Check the electric sender and wire to the gauge or oil capillary to the gauge if mechanical, then the gauge itself.
Cheers, Axolotl.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.

No noises, smells, funny feelings etc to note (*grin* not more than usual!) Will start checking out the gauge properly!
