Hello and a warm welcome to the world of Minor ownership. 8)

A very comprehensive history is available on the main MMOC site - see the link on the left of the screen. There are plenty of books which give the entire story in even greater detail (use the search function at the top for previous posts with books / recommended reading).

Parts are widely available from specialists for the Minor 1000 (1956 on, with a single windscreen) and most are cheap  . Please let us know details of your Minor, especially if you have an earlier (splitscreen) car.

The Minor 1000 is undoubtably the most numerous classic car of the 1950s/60s still going. Well over 10,000 are still on the road in the U.K and an equal number are probably stored awaiting restoration. Unlike many contemporary cars they can still be used as a daily driver, although your car will be a bit slow by modern standards - if it retains the original 1956 engine.
