Mystery Minor

We have LOTS of paperwork/receipts/service history/MOT/tax discs for a blue Minor, registration number MMR 879G. It was sold around 1990. The car was owned by my partners grandfather from new and was kept near Salisbury. Does anybody know the whereabouts of this car?

Well, according to the DVLA website it's still taxed, so it's out there somewhere!

998cc? I doubt it!

Mine has 998cc on the logbook too, yet it's most definately a 1098cc car! I'm guessing that the error probably occured when the DVLA records were transferred from paper to computer - the people doing it were probably confused by the "Minor 1000" name, given that Mini 1000s were 998cc.

Lots of mine are listed as 9999cc - I always thought it was some odd indication that they didn't need emissions testing. Or something...
