Any ideas what this car is ?

I was out in Stockport town centre this morning and spotted this on waste land behind a building that has recently been demolished. Any ideas what make and model it is ? See the fuel tank appears to be mounted up on the baulkhead.

That metal plate on the bulkhead may hold some clues if you managed to get closer...

This is a 170V engine bay, the tanks right but the funnel/pipe is missing:
