Re: Ran out of fuel, now have issues.
When you cleaned the float bowl die you blow air through the jet? I have had to do this by thr Road side in the past due to ceud blocking the line with very similar symptoms you describe

Re: Clutch pedal
It's relatively straightforwards although expect everything to be siezed up. As you have the gear box cover off I would uncouple the clutch and brakes pedals and remove the main pedal assembly. I found the spacer was rusted on and needed some pursaasion to free off. It's so much nicer once it's reas...

Re: Hard-drive like clunking noise at low revs
I have listed to it. It's very dificuilt to tell but it does not sound like transmission or propshaft related to me.
From thr video it sounds like something is knocking. Do you have any noises from thr suspension?

Re: Hard-drive like clunking noise at low revs
Your description of the noise makes me think of the petrol pump. Assume this is not the source.
I have had some noise out of the voltage regulator boxes before.
Can you hear it while stationary?

Re: Oil from breather pipe
You will need to remove the timing chain cover to access the gauze. This is relatively straightforwards and I would suggest you look at the workshop manual. I don't think this alone will fix it. You still need tienit up to the inlet via a pcv for it to work. I would be tempted to do this 1st as you ...

Re: Oil from breather pipe
The pipe as shown above looks like it should be thr point a pcv valve intake would be. Not clear why it has been blanked off, but it was probably connected at one point As Phil suggested above making this connection will return the engine breathing system to a near stick set up with the use of a pcv...

Re: Oil from breather pipe
The canister ouitlet pipe on thr timing chain cover should either be connected to thr carb side inlet assuming it's a su. Given its a 1275 it's possibly a hif44?
An alternative is to put connect it to thr inlet manifold via a pcv valve

It's really good to hear your have made progress.
I remember my sister had a mini many years ago. I got home to be told it was broken down. There was lots of people looking at it when I arrived but I found thr low tension lead to thr coil had broken off. Thr aa recovery man had missed it too.

Do you have a spare coil you can swap over too -they can fail in funny ways.

Re: Engine issue - assistance in Germany
This might seem an odd suggestion but are you sure it's not a head gasket fail between 3 and 4.
Running an engine with thr head gasket gone can sound very odd, and could fit your descriotiin
Are you able to do a compression test?

Re: Front Brakes
Its unlikely there will be anything wrong with the brake springs. AS above it sounds like the cylinders have seized.
You will also need new copper washers when you replace the flexi hoses. Perhaps you have ordered these too. If you have not get them you can anneal. them if you need to reuse them.

Re: Handbrake not working - slave cylinders won't slide
You can often free up cylinders that are seized. Much easier to do it once you have removed them, which of course means you will need to bleed the system. As a 1st move, i would removed the brake shoes, and handbrake cable and manually move the lever to see if there is any movement. Often by working...

As above I would suspect a inlet manifold leak.
You could try tightening the manifold bolts bit if this fails replace thr gasket.

If you are after the original look, i suspect your kick plates are the wrong colour. I might be wrong, but i thought all the deluxe versions had silver ones (painted)

I think the pear version gear knob is correct for your vehicle. Mine is an early 1098 and this has a pair version and has had since the 70s for certain. It could have been changed before this, but it's not something I have fet is incorrect

Someone told me the standard marina filter set up did work as it hit the r bonnet cross member. I have not tried it so I don't know for certain and itight be incorrect

Re: Wider wheels
I found swapping from 155 to 145 on standard rims made a significant difference to thr ride. I had a set of Nankang which admittedly were over 10byears old, but a set of Bridsgatones made a significant change. I have never had Toyo tyres but I understand from others the side walls are a bit soft. Yo...
