Re: The Story of Mog

What a fantastic story. I do hope that one day Mog gets restored and you get to drive him. You say you don't have the skills to do the work yourself but if you read the likes of Practical Classics there are often stories of people who have learnt to weld, paint, upholster etc. as required to get the...

Re: Advice please, new owner

It may be further away than you intended but I would strongly recommend Steve Baimbridge in Twyning, Gloucestershire, just off M50 J1. We're in Bromsgrove, but Steve has serviced and MoT'ed our 1959 Traveller since we got it 13 years ago. Only a one man band but he knows his way around a Morris Mino...

Re: 2 MOT or not 2 MOT

I've just looked back at the pictures taken during the restoration of our Traveller. Are they the two holes at the top of, and either side of, the big hole?

I'm pretty sure I don't have those buffers. Did all models have them?

I used Rover Inca Yellow from Halfords which looks very similar to yours.

Re: Old Forum Archive / Old Images.

I've just tried it in Firefox and I get the menu you got, but not with Chrome. Chrome obviously behaves differently, or something is configured differently.

That's interesting. If I right click on the word 'Image' I don't get the options you do. What browser are you using?

Have you checked the filter in the fuel pump?

Correct, mine is now negative earth.

Like you I wouldn't want to fit the battery clamp with the terminals at the front.

Re: Large capacity battery?

From browsing the internet a type 038 battery seems to have a capacity of around 36Ah and a CCA of 320A. On our 1959 Traveller I use a Yuasa Silver HSB063 from Halfords which has a capacity of 52Ah and a CCA of 520A. With the terminals against the bulkhead the negative is on the right looking at it ...

Re: Moggy for hire?

I hired a Traveller (blue as it turned out) for my wife for the weekend when she was thinking of buying one to see if the reality lived up to the romantic dream. It did and we have now had our Traveller for 12+ years. I used these these guys but from a quick glance at the website they seem to have g...

Re: Spotted today.

Spotted a couple of weeks ago in the Ponsonby area of Auckland, New Zealand whilst we were on a touring holiday. Sorry for the poor quality but it was taken from a moving coach. The coach driver, who is looking for a Morris Minor Traveller to buy having just finished the restoration of his second Mo...

Thanks for the warning. I like your 'bib'. I might knock one of those up as well, just in case.
