Re: Adderley Park LCVs

Only TRUE way of arriving at facts is recording details direct FROM vehicles, don't learn anything by continually copying stuff that was wrong 70yrs ago. You have taken on a very worthy and onerous task but would it not be best for ‘the cause’ to publish what you have, here, for all to see on the p...

Coldest ever at this house was Feb 2013 and -37 deg C at 5.30 am. This is just balmy December.

Re: Thermostat rating.

‘Winter’ would make sense as the last time the car was verifiable on the road was December 1983.

What would ‘summer’ thermostat be? Summers here typ 22° to 28°

Thermostat rating.

The thermostat that was removed was rated at 195°F (which is about 91°C for cash). Does this seem right? The engine is a North American spec USHM3 with an induction heater.

Do any official Nuffield publications have this info?

Thoughts.

One (the right) has a hole in the knuckled sheet. The left one doesn’t. This seems to indicate that the forward edge is higher than the aft edge.

Transparent cylinder

There’s a few of these videos about and I’m sure people have seen similar but this is one of the better ones. Fast fwd to the 12.00 mark when the engine is started.
