Always great to come home after a late shift to find your other half has reversed into my morris and knocking it off it's jacks on concrete as wheels had been taken off,it's now sitting on concrete not sure what damage has been done yet

Hi everyone I'm after any information on this reg and I'm told it came out of the factory in burmuda blue and artic white so this leads me to believe it's a ex police car , for some reason I thought it was a Suffolk one but now not so sure .

Still have the car sitting on drive on axle stands have just spend £140 on a all season car cover which is breathable so I can say I'm not giving up on her

Yes will do it no problems. As said above please put wheels and tyres under the car. Could save your life and will make the car more stable. Good so decking board supported with axle stands and I'll use the trolley jack as well and maybe buy some big bricks and build some supports as I only have fo...

At the moment the front is only axle stands alsoIslipMinor wrote:If the engine is in place, you can jack up from the crossmember, but also put a support at the back otherwise it can rock on the x-mbr.

You really should put a good thick scaffold plank right across the car just forward of the front spring mounts (may foul the prop shaft but since you are taking the axle off anyway....) and stands under that. But also pile wheels/tyres in there 'just in case' Could I not use axle stands on the cros...

For the screw iv used a big screwdriver with a hole in the end that iv put another screwdriver through for extra leverage. You have to press the screwdriver whilst moving the other one. Shock link id check for play 1st. Tho if it's cheap replace anyway. And id fit polys in the other end. Nice to se...

Anthony The threaded piece on the link , from which you have remove the nut , is tapered.I would douse it with penetrating fluid ( Plus gas ) or WD 40 if nothing else is to hand and leave it to soak in for a bit. On the vehicle If you have a ball joint separator you could use that to break the tape...
