Bill is it worth a survey from the website users on the highs and lows of the National which you could then collate and present to the committee as our Liason ? I seem to remember suggesting that too, on 27th June! An organised survey asking for comments on the good and bad points would be useful t...

national rally - do something useful
Well you all seem to be having a good old-fashioned moan about the National. This will change nothing. Why not get yourselves organised, run a proper survey amongst the website users, then put any fair and reasonable criticisms to the organisers (copy to the MMOC National Committee) with your ideas ...

Working on Saturday, participating in a mixed classic car'n'bike run on Sunday with a static show at a local aerodrome after lunch. I'll probably take the trav as it's roomier for canine companions than the Ser II saloon and cooler than the van, Chris will be on his 1946 Peugeot. As this is France, ...

For the others, good translation : but what about my smilies? Or does the java stuff only appear in France? (oh dear, the Cloggies just won the footi...

'scuse me, what we need here is the gentle touch, not thinners etc IF you want your seat surfaces to last! Take it from a Concours and Masters winner.... First wash them gently with plain warm water and a cloth if you have let them get v grubby/bought them v grubby. Let them dry in the air on a nice...

canines in a trav
Hi Travs are brilliant for dogs as they can get fresh air and you can wash the plastic back clean. Use vetbed or petbed fleecy bedding, which washes & dries in a trice. I'm a guide dog puppy walker and I do around 10,000 traveller miles a year so I DO know what I am talking about. Mine does 70mp...

Dog guard
easy: get a standard extendable dog guard, and modify it to fit the side woodwork rather than relying on top & bottom push-fit bracing which any capable dog can remove (believe me, I'm a guide dog puppy walker!) Buy a suitable length of 20 mm diameter metal curtain pole, some plastic end stops, ...
