To answer your question, yes they are. 4 inch. (101.6mm) for reference.

Re: fuel leak su carburettor
Moss sell a ball type conversion that seems to have very good reviews.
I guess they are far less likely to wear long term, and presumably less likely to trap dirt, not being a taper.

Re: Bonnet striker adjustment
The striker plates, however, cannot be adjusted up/down.
Here is a picture of the pin assembly.[frame][/frame]
Presumably (never tried it) the pin can be unscrewed, and (re)secured with the lock nut.

It can be moved left/right, but not up/down as far as I'm aware.

Re: Door handle removal
I'd imagine that, by the way the handle fits behind the window frames, it'd be easier to fit the lock. Then the window mechanism.

Re: electronic ignition
Not sure how I can say this without the post being deleted. I bought an electronic conversion kit from 'a very popular electronic ignition supplier that many endorse on here' for a 45D distributor, that when fitted was misfiring all over, at any distributor position. Fitted an old set of 25D points ...

The same thing happened on my '60, funnily enough! Eyebolt pulled right through, nut was sitting in the chassis leg, eyebolt sitting sort of 3/4" proud at the side at a horrific angle. and the suspension arm was resting on the tie plate. Only really the tie bar holding it square! Only noticed i...

360 out is one complete turn ;)
It wouldn't run 180 out.

Re: No drive!
If you find it is out by a margin, drive at a known 50mph (confirmed via GPS or what not) and get an assistant to place the needle at 50 (speedo glass off obviously). That should make it accurate enough for general use.

948's have a '950' mark cast into the side of the block, under the manifold.
1098's have an '1100' tag riveted onto the block.

Re: old type water heater
I've used both the ones provided in the link by BMC on my Minors. Used the Minispares stub on a Marina 1275 I fitted to get over the heater tap fouling battery tray problem. Used the 'eBay' valve on a CAM4810 head I fitted to my 948. They have the benefit too of making it more simple to remove and r...

I think you've missed that the website is an American one, and therefore presumably the poster could be American themselves. In which case, this sort of thing is quite common, their cars do not have to follow the same rules/regulations as we do. Whether it's a good idea or not, well it isn't really,...
