Re: "Morris Minor Driving Instruction"
Of course the seats can be changed - but as far as I can see at the moment there are no headrests. There may be other requirements - such as ABS brakes or an nCap crash worthiness figure etc etc. I really have no idea - but I believe even some modern cars are not allowed........ Can't be putting th...

Re: "Morris Minor Driving Instruction"
Although it sounds like a rather fun idea I can't see this being practical. Like when slowing down in the modern driving test is frowned upon to go down the gears sequentiality to make use of engine braking, as you do in a Minor. I wouldn't imagine the wheel shuffling technique you are supposed to u...

Re: Slow Motorway Speeds?
Heres an idea, find one of the stock Minor videos on YouTube and compere the revs they are getting to the ones you are getting, that'll at least show if there is something off about your car or its just general noise.

Pictures say it all really, car saftey has grown a huge ammount. Heres a crash test between a 1959 Chevy and a 2009 Chevy, obvious to see the passangers in the classic would all have been killed. I dread to think what would happen to a car as small as a Minor if hit by a standard size family car. ht...

whereas the modern car will be written off much more easily. My next door neighbour has just bought a written off, 40000 mile, '55 plate Golf. So he tells me, it was a Category D write off. The damage was a broken engine mounting and a missing front bumper (There was a scratch on the rear bumper). ...

Thanks for the advice everyone. At the momment I'm deciding between getting my car fund or using it to move out, my commute to college involves a 5am start 3 hours travel each way by bus and taxi so I get home at about 7-8pm. This is really getting to me now and decent employment is impossible to fi...

Just too unsafe?
Well, after about 3 years of wanting a Morris Minor or indeed any classic car it seems I just won't be able to. :( Now a month from my 18th and taking driving lessons my parents have very kindly said they will help put some money towards buying a car, but there are limitations... I can't have anythi...

I think the Moggie and Herald would be great choices for a reliable classic, parts are easy to find too. Same goes for the Rover P6, very common to find as a daily driver, as is the Volvo Amazon. :) I am currently looking for a Triumph 1300fwd/Toledo, with any luck it'll become both my 1st car and a...

Most of the people my age would never dream of watching Hearbeat... I'd watch it, but the eps I've seen all involved a classic getting mangled in some way. A Mk1 Mini wrapped around a tree and a Vauxhall Victor crashed down a hill spring to mind. there are some closeup pics of this car on the IMCDB...

The Vintage Wireless company and simillar can recon an old car stereo to accept and Mp3 player while looking period, they also sell recon units if I remember correctly. Although I wouldn't imagine it to be cheap, though. Most 60s radios won't come with a cassete player either, although you could fit...
