Hi All,

My front right-hand brake seems to be sticking on after driving a few miles, resulting in a squeaky hub that gets hot.

Is this a common problem that other people have had and is it an easy fix without having to buy any new hardware?

That's what I reckon, but I'll have another go soon as I'm determined that this niggling little thing won't beat me.

Sadly, I don't own a garage so my car spends its time out in all weathers. I think I'll get a decent cover for it next winter.

I have the original seat belts in mine but not sure how well they'd hold up in an accident. I'm wondering if it is better to fit the inertia type.

Well, I've done everything suggested three times over (except the drain cleaner option which I will try at a later date), and still nothing comes from the engine block bolt so I'm giving up for now. Car is used about three times a week, I've owned it since April and haven't gone on any long spins yet, plus I haven't owned it in the hot months. Heater seems to work fine too.

OK, well I followed the instructions for flushing out the system by the garden hose pipe method. After turning on the water and putting my thumb over the disconnected heater hose I sprung a leak and got soaked via the rad overflow pipe. Put my thumb over that too and then sprung another leak on a sm...

Exactly the same thing happened to me today. I was most put out [polite mode] because I spent a good two hours on the pump just last week and refaced the contacts as they were badly pitted. Todays problems started after about 5 miles. I 'fixed it' by closing the points up a bit. That saw me through...

Sounds like fuel vapourisation - the fuel is getting too hot in the feed line, and some pumps are (seemingly - never happened to me!) not able to suck the fuel up - and so rapid useless clicking until the pump gets some fresh liquid fuel to play with!
