what I might do is remove the wing/door and see just how far the rust has got. I may be able to use a repair panel- the crumbly part is around the hinges themselves. New sills/floor were done about 4 years ago - then someone must have run out of money or patience.

Door pillar replacement/repair

Please would someone be able to advise on the hazards in replacing the front door pillar. In particular, how structural is it? I would like to replace the whole caboodle, but am a bit worried about the interface with the sill, ie when I cut/drill out the hinge pillar, is the whole side of the car g...

got it on with a bit of backwards pulling form my assistant. I had the front high enogh so that the pipe cold sit at its normal vertical angle over the rear axle. THanks fro the help

I just had another go in daylight and its still fouling on the lower suspension link by just 1/2". I'm reluctant to use too much force because a. I might bend the pipe permanently (sp) b. I don't want to push the car off the stands c. i'll get an earfull from the wife if I grunt and swear too m...

Does anyone have a foolproof way of fitting the standard exhaust system? - no MOT, hence I have to fit it myself - next time I'll think ahead and get the experts to do it. I can get the pipe over the rear axle (nearly squashing the axle mounted brake pipe in the process) but even with the body fully...
