okay, have cleaned it up and tried it again, the fuel is coming out of a little hole under the hose connection.

It appears that the float aint floating!! It has a little bit of liquid in it - is this normal??

Installing Dynamo

Hey Guys... Am going to try and install the dynamo on my moggie... am quite scarred... a little nervous... have read the manual and think i should be okay... possibly.... however, how do i know if my moggie is positively or negatively earthed?? and do you have any other tips for doing the job well!!...

I am getting my Brother in law to come down to the mechanics tonight to check it out...

there is a young guy working on it but he has been checking in with an older guy who did his apprenticeship on a moggie.

its a 948, not to sure what the market here is like for spares... will have to make a few calls to find out... however my brother in law thinks we should be able to change it ourselves quite easily, so am thinking maybe i should wait... i just want my beloved car back... the weekend before i sent it...

i think i may need to print this page out to bring to the mechanic!! I didnt actually ask him to convert it... he just said thats what he was up to while he was fixing the exhaust valves and head gasket... is costing me $450AUS and the guy is a friend of a friend, so it should hopefully be a good ra...

have just heard back and her exhaust valves are busted, and he is going to fit new valves so i can use unleaded petrol!! was super chuffed about that!! For an unleaded conversion, you need to have the head machined to fit hardened valve seats. If they just fit new valves this isn't an unleaded conv...

have just heard back and her exhaust valves are busted, and he is going to fit new valves so i can use unleaded petrol!! was super chuffed about that!! so i should get her back on friday... i then go on holidays for a week and a half on saturday... am so sad i dont get to give her a good drive in!! ...
