I sent of for the details on my van and the dvla sent copies of the original log book - Under the section 'Type of Model' it has A A V 1 5 . Even the dvla put a ? next to it ....and I was hoping someone may know what they mean please.

Thanks for all the info' Im going to keep the old one and have a go ........I just don't like the idea of chucking things out -if they can be restored...........but I was interested to see whether the old ones (once re-built then, ) are better than the new type .

Ive just bought a new starter motor and can see that they now make them quite differently to the old ones There is no easy access to replace the brushes and the bendix looks factory-machine fixed and probably not replaceable ....and was wondering whether it would be better to recondition the origina...

I got copies of the original documents from dvla and the first one states the colour as Beige..........but it does look just like a primer or Grey when I find original paint .

Hi just wondering if anyone knows the code for ' Beige ' its on a 1957 van. just a thought as Ive had a similar thing with my van recently and today I decided to drain the petrol tank and flush it out a few times - each time filtering the petrol ...........I was amazed at the amount of stuff that came out and so far its running really well
